What we collect, and why

When you ask for a quote

The form asks for your name, email, phone number, the property address, whether you own the building, the kind of property, a rough monthly bill, which services you’re interested in, how you heard about us, and anything you choose to write. We use it to look at your roof, prepare your quote, and contact you about it. The address and bills are what the design is built from; without them we can’t give you a real number.

We never sell your details and we don’t share them with anyone except the people and services needed to do the work: our own team, and the contractors, lenders or programs you ask us to involve in your project.

Cookies

The site sets two small cookies, and neither tracks you around the web. The first remembers how you arrived, such as a search ad or a link, so we know which of our marketing brought you here. It is set once on your first visit and not updated. The second records when you opened the quote form, which we use to tell real enquiries from automated spam. There is no advertising cookie and no third-party analytics script on this site.

Where it’s kept

Quote requests are stored in our own business system, hosted by our database and web hosting providers, and are only visible to the team members whose job needs them. We keep records of quotes and projects for as long as we may need them for warranty and accounting, and we delete what we no longer need.

Your rights

Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act applies to us. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop contacting you, by emailing hello@sunsupsolar.ca. We answer within a few days.
